- Do I need AutoCAD to use these tools?
- No. All conversions run in the cloud. You only need your CAD file — no AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or any other CAD software required.
- Are my CAD files kept private?
- Yes. Your files are uploaded over HTTPS and deleted automatically about an hour after conversion. We use them only to produce your conversion.
- Which DWG versions are supported?
- AutoCAD 2000 through the latest released version. Both the proprietary DWG format and the open DXF format are accepted.
- Will layers and colors be preserved in the output?
- For DWG/DXF to PDF conversions, layers are flattened into the PDF output (layers are not preserved as interactive PDF layers). Colors and linework are preserved. For DXF to SVG, path colors are preserved.
- What is the maximum file size?
- Up to 200 MB per file. Most DWG and STEP files are 5–50 MB; 200 MB accommodates large assembly files.
